Kirowske (Ukrainian Кіровське - Ukrainian officially since May 12, 2016 Chrestiwka / Хрестівка; Russian Кировское / Kirovskoye ) is a mining town in the Donets Basin in eastern Ukraine in the Donetsk Oblast with around 27,660 inhabitants.

It is located about 80 kilometers northeast of the Oblast capital Donetsk and was founded in 1954 as a mining town to mine the coal deposits near the village of Krestowka (Крестовка). Kirowske, which is named after the Soviet party functionary Sergei Mironowitsch Kirov , has had city status since 1958, and since 1987 it has been a city under oblast administration.

Since summer 2014, during the war in Ukraine , the place has been occupied by separatists from the Donetsk People's Republic and, according to the Ukrainian government, belongs to an area in which the organs of state power temporarily do not exercise their powers.
