Mospyne (Ukrainian Моспине ; Russian Моспино / Mospino ) is a city in eastern Ukraine in Donetsk Oblast with about 10,500 inhabitants.
For the same municipality, which in turn is a part of the Municipality of Donetsk , Rajon proletariat is also the settlement include urban-type Horbatschewo-Mychajliwka and villages Burjuky (Бирюки) Mychajliwka (Михайлівка) Nowodwirske (Новодвірське) Oktiabrske (Октябрське) Hryschky (Гришки), Temryuk (Темрюк) and Werbowa Balka (Вербова Балка).
The city is located in the southeast of the urban area of Donetsk, about 6 kilometers from the city and oblast center of Donetsk on the river Hruska (Грузька).
The place was mentioned in writing for the first time in 1800 as Machorowka , it received the status of an urban-type settlement in 1938 and was renamed Mospino (after the nearby railway station). In 1958 the place then received city rights. In the summer of 2014 there was fighting in the area during the war in Ukraine , which has since been in the hands of the separatists of the Donetsk People's Republic .
