Pelahiivka

Pelahijiwka (Ukrainian Пелагіївка ; Russian Пелагеевка / Pelagejewka ) is an urban-type settlement in the east of the Ukrainian Donetsk Oblast with about 18,000 inhabitants.

Pelahijiwka belongs administratively to the municipality of the city of Tores , which lies 8 kilometers to the south and forms its own settlement council here, the oblast capital Donetsk is 54 kilometers east of the village, at the settlement there is a train station of the Donetska Salisnyzja .

The place was founded in 1915 and was elevated to an urban-type settlement in 1938, since summer 2014 the place has been occupied by separatists of the Donetsk People's Republic during the Ukraine War.
