Serdyte (Ukrainian Сердите ; Russian Сердитое / Serditoje ) is an urban-type settlement in eastern Ukraine in Donetsk Oblast with around 1900 inhabitants.
geography
The urban-type settlement located in the Don Basin , about 38 kilometers east of Oblastzentrum Donetsk and 6 kilometers southwest from the center of Shakhtarsk to the city county counts them away.
The place forms the settlement council of the same name, which also includes the settlements Dubowe (Дубове) and Lobanivka (Лобанівка)
history
The place was founded in 1904 as a station settlement on what is now the Dolja – Debaltseve railway line and received the status of an urban-type settlement in 1938. Since the summer of 2014, the place has been occupied by separatists from the Donetsk People's Republic during the Ukraine War.
