Cherkaske ( Ukrainian Черкаське ; Russian Черкасское Cherkasskoje ) is an urban-type settlement in the north of the Ukrainian Donetsk Oblast with around 3400 inhabitants (2016).
Cherkaske located in Rajon Slavyansk on the banks of Suchyj Torez about 18 km west of the Rajonzentrum Slavyansk and 130 km north of the Oblasthauptstadt Donetsk . The village has a rail connection on the Poltava – Rostov railway line and received the status of an urban-type settlement on November 15, 1938. Cherkaske is the administrative center of a 296.73 km² large settlement community (селищна громада) with a total of about 9500 inhabitants (2015), to which the villages
