Schelanne

Schelanne ( Ukrainian Желанне ; Russian Желанное Schelannoje ) is an urban-type settlement in the Ukrainian Donetsk Oblast with 1,400 inhabitants.

Founded in 1880 as a train station settlement, it has had the status of an urban-type settlement since 1969 and is the administrative center of the settlement council of the same name in the west of Jassynuwata Rajon . In addition to Schelanne, the municipality also includes the settlement of Woschod ( Восход ⊙ ) with about 50 inhabitants.

The village is located 40 km northwest of the Rajonzentrum Yasynuvata and 50 km northwest of the Oblastzentrum Donetsk and has a station on the railway line between Pokrovsk and Yasynuvata.
