history

Archaeological finds prove an early settlement of the area, including Paleolithic flint tools as well as remains of vessels from the linear ceramic culture and the Moravian painted ceramic culture from the Neolithic . During the urn field culture , between 1000 and 800 BC there were North-east of Kuchařovice on the Deblínek and Starý zámek hills above the Únanovka valley.

The first written mention of Cvlcharuitz took place in 1220, when the Znojmo burgrave Jimram von Boskowitz gave the Brück monastery for the newly founded church of St. Margarethe in Přímětice donated a Hube of land each in Přímětice and Kuchařovice as well as the forest near Hluboké Mašůvky . Part of the village was under the cathedral chapter of Altbunzlau until 1293 . There is evidence of a Vladikengut in Kuchařovice in 1405 .

The hoof register ( Lánský rejstřík ) shows that Kuchařovice was fragmented in the second half of the 17th century. In addition to the shares of the city of Znojmo and the Bruck monastery, there were still several free goods . In 1776 the Znojmo share also included an inn and a fish pond. The Meierhof was dissolved in 1779. In the course of the abolition of the Bruck monastery, the city of Znojmo acquired its share in Kuchařovice in 1784 and added it to the Untergut, which was part of the Znojmo urban estates together with the upper estate Schidrowitz . During the Battle of Znojmo on July 10, 1809, Kuchařovice was completely burned down. On July 18, 1824, a great fire broke out in Kuchařovice, which laid the whole village to rubble and ashes.

In 1834 Kukrowitz or Kuchařowice consisted of 101 houses with 586 mostly Czech-speaking residents. There was a school in the village. The parish was Brenditz . Until the middle of the 19th century, Kukrowitz remained subordinate to the sub-estate of the Znojmo urban estates. The place of administration was the city of Znojmo.

After the abolition of patrimonial formed Kuchařovice / Kukrowitz From 1849 a municipality in the judicial district of Znojmo. In 1868 the village became part of the Znojmo region. The inhabitants lived from agriculture, especially vegetable and wine growing. According to the Munich Agreement, the village remained as a border town to the German district of Znojmo in Czechoslovakia in 1938 and was assigned to the Okres Moravské Budějovice. After the end of the Second World War, the municipality became part of the Okres Znojmo again . In 1952 a meteorological station was built northeast of the village. Between 1980 and 1990 Kuchařovice was incorporated into Znojmo.
