history

The village Rybníky probably arose before 1200 and belonged to the lands of Přemyslids . The place name is derived from numerous ponds that existed in the area centuries ago. The place was first mentioned in a document in 1238. It is assumed that the village has belonged to Krumlov Castle since its construction and has always remained with it. Since the beginning of the 14th century, the lords of the land were the lords of Leipa , from 1368 to 1434 the lords of Krawarn and then again the lords of Leipa. After the Battle of White Mountain in 1621, all of the goods belonging to Berthold Bohuslaw ( Bohubud ) von Leipa, who was a leader of the Moravian estates, were confiscated. In 1625 Gundaker von Liechtenstein acquired the Krumlov rule, which then remained in the possession of the House of Liechtenstein for almost 300 years . In 1708 the community received a half right to a free wine bar; at the same time the old local seal was confirmed, it bore the inscription RIBNICKA PECZIET . From 1750 on was taught in a chaluppe. In 1823 a new school building was built.

In 1835 the village Ribnik or Rybniky , located in the Znojmo district , consisted of 91 houses in which 465 people lived. There was a school, a mill and an inn in the village. Away from the village was the daughter church of St. Margarethen. The parish was Krummau . Until the middle of the 19th century, Ribnik remained subject to the Fideikommiss-Primogeniturherrschaft Moravian-Krummau .

After the abolition of patrimonial formed Rybník / Ribnik 1849 a municipality in court Moravia Kromau . From 1869 the village belonged to the Moravian Kromau district . At that time Rybník had 482 inhabitants and consisted of 80 houses. Rybníky has been used as a parish name since the 1870s . In 1895 a new school building was built. The volunteer fire brigade was founded in 1898. In 1900 there were 546 people living in Rybníky; In 1910 there were 575. In the 1921 census, 601 people lived in the 125 houses of the municipality, 593 of them Czech. In 1930 Rybníky consisted of 136 houses and 589 inhabitants. After the German occupation, the community was reclassified in 1939 to the judicial district of Hrottowitz and the district of Mährisch Budwitz; until 1945 Rybníky / Ribnik belonged to the Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia . After the end of the war, the old district structures were restored. The school was rebuilt after the Second World War. In 1950 Rybníky had 495 inhabitants. In 1957 a culture house was built. In the course of the territorial reform and the abolition of the Okres Moravský Krumlov, the municipality was assigned to the Okres Znojmo on July 1, 1960 . In 1969 a kindergarten was established. The school was closed in 1978 due to insufficient student numbers. On July 1, 1980 it was incorporated into Moravský Krumlov. The parish has existed again since November 24, 1990. The school reopened in 1990 and the building was later reconstructed. In the 2001 census, there were 375 people in Rybníky's 158 houses.
