Éterpigny ( Picard : Éterpigny) is a commune with 168 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the Somme department in the region of Hauts-de-France in northern France. The municipality belongs to the canton of Péronne and is part of the Communauté de communes de la Haute Somme .

geography

The municipality, which extends to the Départementsstraße D1029 (part of the Chaussée Brunehaut ) in the south , is crossed by the D1017 (former national road 17) and the D62. The eastern boundary of the municipality is the Somme valley . Éterpigny is six kilometers southwest of Péronne .

The railway line from Saint-Just-en-Chaussée to Douai via Chaulnes and Péronne runs through Éterpigny, which is no longer used for passenger transport .

The community received the Croix de guerre 1914-1918 as an award .
