The three- cushion world cup 2010/2 was the second UMB / CEB world cup tournament in the 24th year of the three-cushion world cup. The tournament took place from April 6 to 11, 2010 in Suwon , Korea . It was the fourth World Cup tournament in Suwon.
history
After Kim Kyung-roul's first Korean World Cup victory in Antalya, the euphoria in Korea at her home World Cup was very high. In the various qualifying rounds, the Koreans then showed some excellent performances. Eight were then represented in the main field of the last 32. Five of them made it into the top 16. But this was the end of the line for all Korean players. From now on the Europeans set the tone. The performance of Dick Jaspers was outstanding in this tournament . Up until the final, he had won all of his matches with ease. The current world champion Filipos Kasidokostas was waiting here . The Greek also took the lead with 2-1 sets. Then Jaspers won the other two sets in a total of only 10 shots and won 3: 2. Both played exactly the same average with 2.222.

The three-cushion World Cup was organized by the founding association, the "
Billiards Worldcup Association " (BWA) until 1998 . Disputes between the BWA and the world association
Union Mondiale de Billard (UMB) led to parallel tournaments between 1994 and 1997. The UMB / BWA organized the tournament together until the beginning of 1999. Since the dissolution of the BWA in 1999, the UMB has been the sole organizer.
From 1988-1991 the UMB did not host any world championships. During this time, the annual overall winner of the World Cup was crowned world champion.
