Sainte-Geneviève is surrounded by the neighboring municipalities of Atton in the north and northwest, Port-sur-Seille in the northeast, Clémery in the east and northeast, Landremont in the south and east, Ville-au-Val and Bezaumont in the southwest and Loisy in the west.
