List of eminent dancers

The list of important dancers includes those who have achieved outstanding achievements in their discipline, whose performance at least corresponds to a professional level and who have also become known through their dance.

Outstanding achievements are, for example, won world championships, the development, further development or introduction of new dance figures or a new dance style, celebrity in their era, pre-dancer of an important ensemble, the establishment, management or further development of an important dance school, prizes and other remarkable dance achievements. Dancers who have achieved significant achievements in several dance styles can also be named for several dance styles.

The list is divided into ballet, modern dance, show and tap dance, flamenco and dance sports.
