Saint-Alexandre ( Occitan : Sent Alexandre ) is a French commune with 1,232 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Gard department in the Occitanie region ( Languedoc-Roussillon until 2015 ); it belongs to the arrondissement of Nîmes and the canton of Pont-Saint-Esprit .

Saint-Alexandre is located about 49 kilometers north-northeast of Nîmes and about 18 kilometers northwest of Orange . Saint-Alexandre is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Pont-Saint-Esprit in the north, Mondragon in the east, Vénéjan in the southeast, Saint-Nazaire in the south, Saint-Gervais in the southwest and Carsan in the west.
