Étreval is a French commune with 61 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Meurthe-et-Moselle department in the Grand Est region (before 2016 Lorraine ). It belongs to the Arrondissement of Nancy and the Canton of Meine au Saintois (until 2015 Vézelise ).

Étreval in the north of the Saintois countryside is about 27 kilometers south-southwest of Nancy am Brénon . Étreval is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Ognéville in the north and northeast, Vroncourt in the east, Chaouilley in the south and southeast and Thorey-Lyautey in the west and southwest.
