Verneuil d'Avre et d'Iton is a French municipality with 8170 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Eure in the region of Normandy . It belongs to the arrondissement of Bernay and the canton of Verneuil-sur-Avre (the village of Francheville is part of the canton of Breteuil ) and is a member of the Interco Normandie Sud Eure municipal association .
It was created as Commune nouvelle with effect from January 1, 2017 through the amalgamation of the former municipalities Francheville and Verneuil-sur-Avre , which have the status of a Commune déléguée in the new municipality . The administrative headquarters are in Verneuil-sur-Avre.

Verneuil d'Avre et d'Iton is located about 34 kilometers south-southwest of Évreux on the Avre and Iton . Verneuil d'Avre et d'Iton is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Bémécourt in the north and northwest, Breteuil in the north, Piseux in the east and northeast, Bâlines and Courteilles in the east, Rueil-la-Gadelière in the south and southeast, Boissy-lès-Perche in the south and south-west, Saint-Victor-sur-Avre in the south-west, Pullay in the west and south-west, Mandres and Bourth in the west and Chéronvilliers in the north-west.
The National Route 12 runs through the municipality .
