Habsburg tribe list

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The family list of the Habsburgs includes the House of Habsburg or the House of Austria ( Latin Domus Austriae , Middle Latin Casa de Austria , Spanish Casa de Austria , French Maison d'Autriche ) from the 15th century. Descendants from the marriage of Maria Theresa of Austria to Franz Stephan of Lothringen , thus from the House of Habsburg-Lothringen , can be found in the family list of the House of Habsburg-Lothringen .

Legend

  • The list reflects the in-house numbering and naming.
  • Derived lines and houses as well as inherited dynasties are set in bold, spouses connected with the consort in italics.
  • As is customary in genealogy, 'extinct' only refers to the male tribe.
  • Life dates are only given for the Habsburgs and their spouses
  • oA ... without a regency, the honorary titles of the pretenders to the throne ( Archduke of Austria for all, including female descendants since around the 15th century, Prince of Asturias in Spain) are not mentioned

Possible ancestry of the Habsburgs

The descent of the Habsburgs from the Counts in Nordgau from the Alsatian ducal family of the Etichones seems possible :

Eberhard III., 888 Count in Nordgau, 891 Count in Upper Aargau, 889 Head of Zurich, 896 Head of Munster in Gregoriental ⚭ Adelinda
2. Hugo III., 910 Graf im Nordgau, † 940 as a monk; ⚭ Hildegard
3. Guntram the Rich († 973), Count im Breisgau and Duke of Muri
Lanzelin or Landolt († 991)

The personal assignment of Lanzelin to Landolt is quite unclear and dates in the 1160 family trees of the Acta Murensia . It is considered unoccupied today:

For details see Habsburgs: Early Habsburgs and Habsburgs: Ancestral seat of the Habsburgs .

In early historical research, the counts Othpert and Rambert are named as predecessors or ancestors. These are mentioned in a document from Count Liutfried. Othpert is considered to be the founder of the St. Trudpert Monastery in the Black Forest.

The following account of the ancestors disregards the more fantastic genealogies created between the 13th and 17th centuries, which the Habsburgs traced back to the Roman Colonna or via the Merovingians to the Trojan king Priam .
