Haute Roche is a French commune in the department of Jura in the region Bourgogne Franche-Comté . It belongs to the canton of Poligny in the arrondissement of Lons-le-Saunier . It was created as Commune nouvelle with effect from January 1, 2016 through the merger of the former municipalities of Crançot , Granges-sur-Baume and Mirebel . Since then, Crançot has been the main town (chief lieu) of the new municipality. This now has 978 inhabitants (as of 2013).

Neighboring municipalities are Baume-les-Messieurs and Nevy-sur-Seille in the north-west, La Marre and Bonnefontaine in the north, Pont-du-Navoy in the north-east, Montigny-sur-l'Ain in the east, Châtillon in the south-east, Verges in the south, Vevy and Briod in the southwest and Perrigny in the west.
