Leader (British car brand)
Leader was a British car brand owned by Charles Binks Ltd. was made in Apsley ( Nottinghamshire ) from 1905 to 1907. From 1906 the vehicles were manufactured by New Leader Cars Limited and offered as New Leader .
The Leader was a very conventional automobile for the time. The range of engines included a three-cylinder in - line engine with 1225 cm³ as well as V8 and eight-cylinder in-line engines with up to 15,934 cm³ displacement. However, the majority of the models were equipped with medium-sized four - cylinder in-line engines.
None of the models achieved profitable production figures. As a result, Binks mainly built carburetors , which for a time were used by various British automobile brands, such as B. Rover , were used.
