- December 9th : Night lighting and two other comedic one-act plays by Curt Goetz are successfully premiered in Berlin.
- December 13 : Karl Kraus publishes the epilogue of his tragedy The Last Days of Mankind in a special issue of his magazine Die Fackel .

- January 27th : The first Tarzan film is released in cinemas with Tarzan and the Apes , directed by Scott Sidney . Elmo Lincoln plays the leading role . The basis for the script was the novel of the same name by Edgar Rice Burroughs .
