Alexander Wilson (politician, before 1804)

Alexander Wilson (* before 1804 in Virginia , † after 1809) was an American politician . Between 1804 and 1809 he represented the state of Virginia in the US House of Representatives .

Career

The life dates of Alexander Wilson are not known; Nothing is known about his professional activity beyond politics either. He attended the public schools in his home country. He later embarked on a political career as a member of Thomas Jefferson's Democratic Republican Party . He served in the Virginia House of Representatives in 1803 and 1804 .

After the resignation of MP Andrew Moore , Wilson was elected as his successor to the US House of Representatives in Washington, DC at the due by-election for the fifth seat of Virginia , where he took up his new mandate on December 4, 1804. After two re-elections, he could remain in Congress until March 3, 1809 .

After the end of his time in the US House of Representatives, the trail of Alexander Wilson is lost.
