Bradley Mark Walker (born May 20, 1969 in Dothan , Alabama ) is an American politician . Since January 2015 he has represented the state of North Carolina in the US House of Representatives .

Career

In 1988 graduated from the Mark Walker Trinity Baptist College in Jacksonville ( Florida ). He then worked as a clergyman. In the meantime he studied until 1999 at the Piedmont International University in Winston-Salem . In addition to his pastor, he was also a manager for the Flow Automotive Company of the Triad . Politically, he joined the Republican Party .

In the 2014 congressional election , Walker was elected to the US House of Representatives in Washington, DC , in the sixth constituency of North Carolina , where he succeeded Howard Coble , who was no longer running, on January 3, 2015 . He won with 59:41 percent of the vote against the Democrat Laura Fjeld. After being re-elected in 2016, he can continue to exercise his office today. His new legislative term runs until January 3, 2019 with the option of a further candidacy in 2018.
