Benjamin Hickman Bunn (born October 19, 1844 in Rocky Mount , North Carolina , †  August 25, 1907 there ) was an American politician .

Bunn was born on a Nash County farm in 1844 . During the Civil War he served in the Confederation Army . After the war he studied law and was admitted to the bar in 1866. He practiced at Rocky Mount, where he was elected mayor in 1867. From 1883 to 1885 he was a member of the House of Representatives from North Carolina .

Bunn was elected as a Democrat in Congress and represented there from March 4, 1889 to March 3, 1895, the fourth constituency of his state in the US House of Representatives . In the 1894 election he did not run again. Bunn was now head of the Rocky Mount post office and held this office from April 23, 1895 until his successor was appointed on July 27, 1897. Then he began to practice again in his previous profession. He died in Nash County, near Rocky Mount, in 1907 and was buried in Pineview Cemetery .
