International Swimming Hall of Fame / swimmers

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The following list includes all 313 swimming athletes who have been inducted into the International Swimming Hall of Fame since 1965 . Swimming has been an Olympic discipline since the beginning of the modern Olympic Games. The most important criteria for admission to the Hall of Fame are therefore Olympic medals, especially gold medals.

In addition to the name and nation of the athlete, the year of admission to the Hall of Fame, the career peak (defined as the time between the first and the last international success), the number of Olympic medals and the number of world records are given.
