- September 26 : The world premiere of the opera Mona Lisa by Max von Schillings based on a libretto by Beatrice Dovsky takes place at the Neue Hofoper in Stuttgart and becomes the composer's greatest success.
- October 8 : The world premiere of the opera Isabella by Ludolf Nielsen takes place at the Royal Opera in Copenhagen.

- October 2 : In Berlin the operetta The artificial person of Leo Fall premiered.
- October 23 : The world premiere of the operetta When Two Weddings by Walter Kollo takes place at the Berlin Theater in Berlin.
- November 17th : The Csárdásfürstin by Emmerich Kálmán on a libretto by Leo Stein and Bela Jenbach is premiered with great success at the Johann Strauss Theater in Vienna. The work becomes Kálmán's most successful operetta.

- October 28 : The world premiere of the symphonic poem An Alpine Symphony by Richard Strauss , which was completed on February 8, takes place in Berlin with the Dresden court orchestra under the direction of the composer.
