Stéphane Guivarc'h (born September 6, 1970 in Concarneau ) is a former French football player .
Career
society
The goal-scoring but injury-prone striker began and ended his active time with two clubs (Brest, Guingamp) from his home region, Brittany , and returned there in between (Rennes). Even though he played with Brest and Guingamp for three years in the 2nd and another only in the 3rd division, he still played 160 games in France's top division, Division 1 , and scored 71 goals. In 1997 and 1998 he was twice top scorer in the top French division . With Auxerre he won the double in 1996 ( national champion and cup winner ); there were later ten missions in the UEFA Cup , in which Guivarc'h scored seven goals. His short trip to the English Premier League was less successful (4 appearances, 1 goal); with the Glasgow Rangers, however, he was promptly Scottish champion (14 games, 5 hits) and league cup winner .
Since 2007, Stéphane Guivarc'h coach of the first men's team of US Trégunc, an amateur club from the situated near his birthplace, Concarneau in Brittany Trégunc with which he has risen to 2012 three times. At the end of 2012 he also took over the office of president of this association.
National team
Between 1997 and 1999, Stéphane Guivarc'h played a total of 14 times in the Equipe Tricolore , but scored only one goal there. At the 1998 World Cup , he played six of the seven games and was in the victorious final eleven (up to the 66th minute) . The world title was his greatest success.

A special feature is that Guivarc'h is the record scorer in the history of the UEFA Intertoto Cup . He scored a total of 18 goals (for Rennes and Auxerre) in the competition, relegating Mario Dodik (14) and Edi Glieder (11) to the places. Since the competition has now been discontinued, Guivarc'h can no longer lose this record.
