Akamine was a Brazilian car brand.

Brand history

A São Paulo company started producing automobiles and kit cars in the 1980s . The brand name was Akamine . Production ended in the second half of the 1980s.

A sports car model from 1987 was the successor to the Malzoni GTM from Malzoni . The basis was a chassis from Volkswagen do Brasil , which was shortened by 30 cm. A four - cylinder boxer engine with a displacement of 1600 cm³ was mounted in the rear and propelled the vehicles. There was a choice of a coupé or a convertible .

In addition, VW buggies were created on a VW chassis. Motors with a capacity of 1200 cm³, 1500 cm³ and 1600 cm³ have been handed down.
