Bu-Kar was a Brazilian car brand.

Brand history

A company from São Paulo took over the production of automobiles from Chuves . The brand name was Bu-Kar . Production took place during the 1980s.

The only model was a VW buggy . It was based on the Chuves model, but had been redesigned in a few details such as the fenders , headlights and side skirts. The chassis and engine are not explicitly handed down, but the Chuves buggy had an air-cooled four - cylinder boxer engine from Volkswagen do Brasil and a fiberglass body . The open body had no doors. The four front headlights were striking.

The facelift led to lowered side skirts for easier entry and exit.
