Carioca was a Brazilian car brand.

Brand history

Carioca was the brand name of a company from Rio de Janeiro that manufactured automobiles in the 1980s . In total, only a few vehicles were built.

The only GC 1 Sport Line model was a sports car. A chassis from Volkswagen do Brasil formed the basis. A fiberglass body that vaguely resembled an MG TD was mounted on top . An air-cooled four - cylinder boxer engine was installed in the rear and drove the rear wheels.
