Regata was a Brazilian car brand.

Brand history

A Fortaleza company started producing automobiles in 1989. The brand name was Regata . Production ended in 1990. Overall, not many vehicles were made.

The only model was a VW buggy . Its special form of roll-over device was later copied by domestic competitors. The open, doorless body was made of fiberglass . The front of the vehicle was relatively short and included square headlights. A rear engine drove the rear wheels.
