Potro was a Brazilian car brand.

Brand history

A company from Recife started producing automobiles in the late 1980s. The brand name was Potro . Production ended in the 1990s.

There were two VW buggies on offer . They were based on a shortened chassis from Volkswagen do Brasil . The open body without doors was made of fiberglass . There was a roll-over device behind the front seats . Square headlights were integrated into the front of the vehicle. An air-cooled four - cylinder boxer engine in the rear drove the rear wheels.
