Fibrax was a Brazilian manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

The Erechim company started producing automobiles in 1989. The brand name was Fibrax . The production capacity was limited to two vehicles per month. Production ended in 1991. Few vehicles were sold.

The first model was the VW Bargus buggy .

In 1991 the Fiera was presented at an automobile exhibition. This was a sports car . It was based on a chassis from Volkswagen do Brasil with a rear engine. The fiberglass body was inspired by the Chevrolet Corvette . The double doors were striking . He remained a prototype .

The company also manufactured bodies for pick-ups with double cabs .
