Company history

Átila Rache was making Baja bugs as early as 1980 . It was not until 1983 that he officially founded the company in Rio de Janeiro and continued the production of automobiles. The brand name is Baja Bug . A total of over 1000 vehicles have been built so far.

Initially, only Baja bugs were on offer. These were VW Beetle rebuilt. On this basis, box vans were added later .

In 1990, a replica of a Porsche 911 was created for the owner's own use . Since then, around one vehicle per year has been produced for customers. A chassis from Volkswagen do Brasil with a rear engine forms the basis. The vehicles are powered by an engine from the VW Santana with a capacity of 2000 cc .
