Replicar Ltda. was a Brazilian manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

The São Paulo-based company started producing automobiles and kit cars in 1980 . The brand name was Replicar . Production ended in the same year.

vehicles

There were three models on offer. They were based on a chassis from Volkswagen do Brasil and had an air-cooled four - cylinder boxer engine in the rear that drove the rear wheels.

The VW buggy Dunas was the successor to the Duna . The open, doorless body was made of fiberglass . There was a roll-over device behind the front seats . There were free-standing headlights on the front of the vehicle.

The Serelepe resembled a jeep from 1942. It too had a fiberglass body and a roll-over device.

The Fusca Duna was the conversion of a VW Beetle into a pick-up . For this purpose, the body behind the B-pillar was removed and replaced with an open loading area.
