Company history

The Aracaju company started producing automobiles in 1987. The brand name was Abais . There were sales outlets in Belo Horizonte , Maceió , Recife and Salvador . Production ended in 1995. A state source knows vehicles built up to 1994.

VW buggies were on offer . The basis was either the shortened chassis of the VW Beetle or that of the VW Brasília . An open body made of fiberglass was mounted on top. There were rectangular headlights on the front.
