Trimax is a Brazilian manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

Roberto Heckmann founded the company in Pinhais in 2000 . He started producing trikes . The brand name is Trimax . In 2006, the development of a sports car began , which went into production in 2010. The company has been based in Curitiba since 2008 .

The trikes have a tubular frame and an open body made of fiberglass . In addition to air and water-cooled engines from Volkswagen do Brasil , a four-cylinder engine from the Honda Fit with a displacement of 1400 cm³ is also available .

The four-wheeled sports car Audax is an open two-seater in the style of the Lotus Seven . A four-cylinder engine from the Chevrolet Vectra with either 2000 cm³ or 2400 cm³ displacement drives the vehicles. Six vehicles were initially built from this. Production of this model was suspended from 2014 to June 2016.
