Oficinas Reunidas Ernesto Trivellato SA , previously Trivellato SA - Engenharia, Indústria e Comércio , was a Brazilian manufacturer of vehicles .

Company history

The company was founded in São Paulo in 1924 as a workshop. After the Second World War , now under a new name, bodies for commercial vehicles were created . In the late 1960s, the company employed 620 people in São Paulo and another 1,500 at a plant in Rio de Janeiro . It had offices in 16 other cities as well as Argentina and Uruguay . At this time, experiments with fiberglass began . In 1970 the first automobile was presented at an automobile exhibition. The brand name was Trivellato . A total of around 30 to 40 cars were built. In 1986 the company went bankrupt .

vehicles

The only GT Shark model was a sports car , available as a complete vehicle and as a kit car . It was based on an uncut chassis from Volkswagen do Brasil . An air-cooled four - cylinder boxer engine with a capacity of 1300 cm³ and twin carburetors made 60  hp . The two-seater coupé body made of fiberglass had a long hatchback. It was a copy of a model made by Fiberfab Inc.
