Brasinca was a Brazilian manufacturer of automobiles and bodywork .

Company history

The company was founded in São Paulo in September 1949 . The production of buses began. Superstructures were also manufactured for FNM and other customers. In 1964, passenger cars were added. The brand name was Brasinca . In 1965 or 1966 the production of this model was transferred to Sociedade Técnica de Veículos . From 1986 to around 1996, vehicles were again produced under their own brand names. The name Brasinca Veículos Especiais has been handed down for this period .

Usiminas took over shares in the company in 1996 and took over the entire company in 1999, after financial difficulties in 1997.

Automobiles

The first model was presented at an automobile exhibition in 1964. Series production began in March 1965. The 4200 GT was a luxury coupe designed by Rigoberto Soler. The base was a box frame . A six-cylinder engine from Chevrolet with a displacement of 4271 cc and 155  hp propelled the vehicles. In the GTS , the engine developed 171 hp. The vehicle was only 126 cm high. With a top speed of 200 km / h , it was considered the fastest Brazilian road vehicle. About 50 of these were made. Another source names 40 complete vehicles plus 35 kit cars .

The vehicles from 1986 onwards were pick-ups based on a Chevrolet pick-up. The Passo Fino had two doors and the Mangalarga had four doors . Both were also available with a rear structure.
