Povel Fiat is a Brazilian car dealer and former manufacturer of automobiles . Povel stands for Porcino Veículos Ltda.

Company history

Porcino da Costa founded the company in Mossoró in May 1978 as a car dealer for Fiat . In 1985 the production of automobiles began. The brand name was Povel . It is not known when production ended.

One model was a buggy , but on a Fiat basis. Side tubes and a roll-over device , which was connected to the frame of the windshield with a strut , provided more stability. There were square headlights on the front of the vehicle. A rear engine drove the rear wheels.

Another model was a two-door pick-up with a double cab. The Fiat Oggi as a notchback variant of the Fiat 147 was the basis. This resulted in front-wheel drive .
