Company history

The company, based in Rio de Janeiro , exhibited a vehicle at an automobile exhibition in 1981 under the direction of Eduardo Possato Saraiva. The brand name was Phantom . The first Demoiselle model featured design elements from the 1910s and 1920s. So was z. B. a dummy of the handbrake lever outside the passenger compartment. The open fiberglass body had two doors and a convertible top. There was a belt over the front hood. The basis was a chassis from the VW Brasília that had been shortened by 40 cm . An air-cooled four - cylinder boxer engine was mounted in the rear and drove the rear wheels. The spare wheel was placed horizontally above the bonnet. Due to the low height and the lush width of the tires, it was clear that it was not an original vehicle from bygone times.

The Phantom followed in 1983 . According to the company, this was a mixture of a VW buggy and a convertible from Puma . The open fiberglass two-door body had a thick roll bar behind the front seats. The vehicle was based on an unabridged chassis from Volkswagen do Brasil and was only available as a complete vehicle.

In 1986 an ordinary buggy was added, which was also offered as a kit car .
