Carpo Ltda. was a Brazilian manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

The company was based in Santos . Valdemar Augusto Pereira and Norberto Gomes Bexiga designed a sports car in 1966 . Production began in March of the same year. The brand name was Carpo . It is not known when production ended.

The first model was a sports car. A chassis from Volkswagen do Brasil formed the basis. A fiberglass coupé body was mounted on top. An air-cooled four - cylinder boxer engine was mounted in the rear and drove the rear wheels.

A convertible on the same basis was at least planned.
