Engenharia de Veículos e Motores Ltda. , Envemo for short , was a Brazilian manufacturer of automobiles .
Company history
The company was founded in São Paulo in 1966 as a tuning company. In 1979 the production of automobiles began. The brand name was Envemo . In 1983 the production of a model was handed over to CBP . Production ended in 1994. In 1995 the company was dissolved.
vehicles
Initially, engines from Volkswagen do Brasil were tuned. Later, vehicles from Chevrolet and Opel were revised.
In 1978 a convertible was created as a prototype .
The Super 90 was a replica of the Porsche 356 as a coupé . The basis was the chassis of the VW Brasília , which was shortened by 30 cm . An open body made of fiberglass was mounted on top. There was a choice of four - cylinder boxer engines from VW with a displacement of 1600 cc and 65 hp and with 1700 cc and 88 hp. In 1980, a version as a convertible added to the range. In 1983 the production of these models at Envemo ended. A total of 202 Super 90 vehicles were built .
Pick-ups were later revised and an off-road vehicle designed.
