Adax was a Brazilian car brand.

Brand history

A Fortaleza company started producing automobiles in 1989. The brand name was Adax . Production ended in 1996.

VW buggies were on offer . A chassis from Volkswagen do Brasil formed the basis. An open body made of fiberglass was mounted on top. The roll-over device in the form of pipes was striking . Two rectangular headlights were integrated into the front of the vehicle.

Initially, a water-cooled VW engine powered the vehicles; for the first time in a Brazilian buggy. The grille was between the headlights. An air-cooled four - cylinder boxer engine with a displacement of 1600 cm³ was later used. The radiator grille was omitted.
