Ego Veículos Ltda. was a Brazilian manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

Vanildo Lima Marcelo founded the company in Fortaleza in 1987 . In the same year the production of automobiles began. The brand name was Ego . In 1989 Fibravan took over part of the production. Production ended in the mid-1990s.

vehicles

The Cumbuco model was a VW buggy previously made by Socio Vanildo Lima Marcelo . The basis was a chassis from Volkswagen do Brasil with a rear engine. An open body was mounted on it. The front headlights came from the Chevrolet Opala .

The company also manufactured some pick-ups with double cabs based on the VW Brasília .
