Toppy Veículos Esportes Ltda. was a Brazilian manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

The company was initially based in Rio de Janeiro . Automobiles and kit cars emerged from the 1980s . The brand name was Toppy . In the late 1980s, the company moved to Recife . Production ended about ten years later.

Only VW buggies were on offer . The open body offered space for four people. There was a roll-over device behind the seats . An air-cooled four - cylinder boxer engine in the rear propelled the vehicles.

Initially, round headlights were free-standing on the front of the vehicle. Later, square headlights were integrated into the front. A late version had the wrong grille .
