The company was founded on February 24, 1984 in Rio de Janeiro . In the same year the production of automobiles began. The brand name was Cheval . Vehicle production ended in the 1980s.

The only Poney model was a VW buggy with a sporty, low front. A chassis from Volkswagen do Brasil , which was shortened by 45 cm, formed the basis.
