Artesanal was a Brazilian manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

The São Caetano do Sul company manufactured automobiles and kit cars in the second half of the 1980s . The brand name was Artesanal .

One model was a VW buggy . An open body made of fiberglass was mounted on a chassis from Volkswagen do Brasil . An air-cooled four - cylinder boxer engine with a displacement of 1600 cm³ in the rear propelled the vehicles. Facelift led to the model name Rebeld and a roll-over device .

There was also a Baja Bug and the Ferrage with a structure made of pipes as an autocross vehicle .
