Gamo was a Brazilian car brand.

Brand history

A Fortaleza company started producing automobiles in the mid-1980s. The brand name was Gamo . Greta Indústria e Comércio de Veículos Ltda. from Natal took over the manufacturing rights in 1988 and produced until 1993. The following company, Radar , produced 140 vehicles until 1999. Due to the demand from a car rental company, more vehicles were built in 2004, but the manufacturer has not been recorded.

VW buggies were on offer . A body made of fiberglass was mounted on a tubular frame . There was a roll-over device behind the front seats . The air-cooled four - cylinder boxer engine came from Volkswagen do Brasil . Two rectangular headlights were integrated into the front of the vehicle.

In 1993 the facelift led to round headlights. The taillights now came from the Ford Verona . In addition, an extended version with seven seats was on offer, but only found three or four buyers.
