Luar was a Brazilian car brand.

Brand history

A company from Recife started producing automobiles in the late 1980s . The brand name was Luar . Production ended in the 1990s.

The only model was a VW buggy . The open, doorless body was made of fiberglass . The interior offered 2 + 2 seats. There was a roll bar behind the front seats . What was striking was the great height of the side sills, which made getting in and out difficult. Square headlights were integrated into the front of the vehicle.
