Mach 1 was a Brazilian car brand.

Brand history

A company from Rio de Janeiro manufactured automobiles and kit cars in the early 1980s . The brand name was Mach 1 .

The only model was a VW buggy . The basis was a chassis from Volkswagen do Brasil with an air-cooled rear engine. An open, doorless body made of fiberglass was mounted on top. There was a roll bar behind the front seats . The front of the vehicle with angular headlights and a false radiator grille is described as unusual.
