Company history

The company was based in São Paulo . In 1986 the production of automobiles and kit cars began , which were marketed as Leblon . Production ended in 1993.

Carrera continued to manufacture a model.

The first vehicle to be presented at an automobile exhibition in 1986 was a mixture of a sports car and a VW buggy . It was similar to the Vega from Acquatec . The basis was the uncut chassis from the VW Brasília . An open, doorless body made of fiberglass was mounted on top. The headlights came from the Fiat 147 and the taillights from the Chevrolet Chevette .

The Caribe was also released in 1986 . The two-door and four-seat vehicle was more similar to the Jeep and was available both as a convertible and with a targa roof. The air-cooled four - cylinder boxer engine came from Volkswagen do Brasil .
